One of the best Restaurant where you can find the raw and cooked fish. All the dishes which are served are fish base. The chef and the service are amazing. The owner is really paying attention to their clients. All was fresh and worth the price of what you pay. The location is amazing with a view on the Messina strait. Look at the pictures!
Thank you for the amazing experience to all the L’Incanto staff.
Amazing views and amazing food. Can't be beat.
What about an enchanting place, where the food is a symphony of flavours? All sublime and served impeccably. Excellent raw materials, expertly worked in a mix of flavors that leaves nothing to chance. If I could I would give 10 stars.
We returned after almost 9 years and found a magnificent place managed by highly professional staff, the owners were truly approachable and treated us very well.
Excellent and plentiful food, good wine and the view of the Strait is truly enchanting! The name is spot on, you couldn't have chosen a better way to represent the place.
For us it was also a UNIQUE evening as for a "strange" occasion (let's call it that!!) the only table in the whole restaurant was ours!
See you next time and THANK YOU.
Fantastic location on the strait, surrounded by greenery with fantastic views of the sunset. Sublime food, fresh fish of the day cooked with skill. Raw, one of the best I've ever eaten. There is no menu but you eat the catch of the day. Owners attentive and present, very friendly. If you want an unforgettable romantic dinner this is the right place.
I had heard about it but had never had lunch/dinner there. If I don't try it myself I can't make any judgements. By chance, yes by chance because, not having many seats, I prefer it, thanks to the cancellation of a table, I managed to book. I was there yesterday for lunch, with my family and a couple of friends with their daughter. It is a home restaurant and you eat a fixed menu, not à la carte, based on the catch of the day. In addition to the adult menu, there is a children's menu. As soon as we arrived, what immediately struck us was the spectacle of the terraces overlooking the strait, the Aeolian islands, the Ganzirri lakes, Torre Faro, the sea... we were truly enchanted. Now I understand why the enchantment. We ate really well even if the bill seemed a little expensive for a home restaurant but the priceless view is included in the bill... so it's okay. All in all we were satisfied with both the food and the hospitality. I highly recommend it and I will definitely return but next time, hopefully, for dinner. Thanks, I'll see you again soon, if I find a place....
The view is breathtaking, one of the most beautiful panoramas in the province of Reggio. Unfortunately the positive notes end here.
We arrive at the address, park in the dark in the dedicated car park, from the car park to the restaurant there are 200 m to walk in total darkness. Once we find the entrance we enter, slightly suspicious of the number of tables present, this "home restaurant" as defined by the owner, has around fifty seats and absolutely nothing "home" about it.
We are made to sit at the table on which there is only the wine list, about twenty mostly Calabrian labels on laminated sheets bound like a university copy shop.
After a few minutes a waiter arrives asking if we had chosen the wine, not having even had an indication of what to eat before choosing we ask, the answer was: "we eat fish, based on the availability of the kitchen", we remain perplexed and we choose a Calabrian rosé (€26 a bottle).
The appetizers begin to arrive, raw seafood: a slice of tuna, a slice of sea bream (with bones), 2 prawns (complete with intestines), a quenelle of albacore, a spoonful of burrata with 2 prawns and one of black rice again with 2 shrimps. Fish certainly fresh but processed in an undignified way, insignificant flavors and all the same in the most banal way possible.
Followed by baked rolled mackerel on mashed potatoes, terrible, gave off a bad smell and was very dry. We practically all left it on the plate where it arrived.
Following the first, two ravioli (2!) filled with aubergines and scamorza seasoned with swordfish ragù, good but nothing gourmet, on the contrary.
For the second course, pieces of baked grouper, probably no more than half a kilo (there were 5 adults) with the same mashed potatoes as before, terribly dry and stringy, it's difficult to ruin a grouper. The dinner ends with a lemon sorbet, the industrial kind.
The bill was €75 per person (€375 total), without a receipt, we were given a €15 discount for paying in cash.
From what we have observed, the tables receive different service and courses based on their friendship with the owners. The "dinner" started at 8.45pm and ended at midnight, with exhausting waits between the different courses. The incompetence and arrogance of both the kitchen and the management are disarming, they believe they are a gourmet home restaurant, but this is only the final bill. I recommend investing your summer income in training and study, this is not the way to do catering, not in Italy and not in 2023. The service guys are impeccable.
Enchanting place and atmosphere, never a more appropriate name. The sunset, a moment of pure spectacle, magical and fairy-tale. Sublime menu, nothing eccentric, a union between past and present with precious and fresh raw materials at its centre. Very kind staff and owner
